Gum-Base:

Gumcorp produces gum base which is non-nutritive, non-digestible, water-insoluble delivery system used to carry sweeteners, flavors and any other desired substances in chewing gum and bubble gum. It provides all the basic textural and properties of gum.

Gum Base is produced through a blend of raw materials which can be categorized in five classes:

  • Elastomers act as the key ingredient and provide elasticity
  • Resins act as binders and softeners
  • Plasticizers render the elastomer soft to ensure thorough blending of the gum base
  • Fillers contribute to the overall texture
  • Antioxidants prevent oxidation of the gum base and flavors during shelf life

    Substance: 20-35gsm for single substrates and 70-100gsm for laminates; depending on combination and package requirements.

    Material

    Multicolour Printed/Metallised/ Cellophane or Pvc Wrappers suitable for twist or horizontal flow pack. Non-returning twists performing reliably on subsequent automatic pouch filling machine.

    Substance:
    Twist wrap: Pvc / Celo 32-35gsm
    Flow pack: Cello-28-35gsm

    Machines:
    Twist Wrap Pvc / Cello Gs, Carle and Montanari / Theegarten / Rose Forgrove.

    Flow Pack:Hermetic / Dynamic / Eurosicma / Fmc / Cavana.


    Applications:
    Hard Boiled Candies / Caramel / Bon-Bons / Herbal Drops / Sugar

     

    Material:

    Multicolour Printed/ Metallised/ Wax Coated Paper suitable for Twist Wrap. Also available with centre Alufoil Strip and /or Alufoil Edges. Wax coating available on one or both sides. Special treatment available on inner side for high speed machines requiring heat sealing. Also available unprinted inner wax strip in 20-40mm width.

    Substance: 50-53 gsm (without foil) 60-62gsm (with foil).


    Machines:
    Gd / Carle and Montanari / Theegarten / Rose Forgrove.

    Usual width: 45-60mm/ 76-90mm/ 102-105mm including Alufoil centre 20-23mm + edges 10mm each side.

    Applications: Toffee/ Caramel / Chewy Toffee / Hard Boiled Candy/ Bon-Bons / Herbal Drops.

     

    Material:

    Multicolour Printed/ Metallised/ Wax Coated Paper suitable for end fold (Bazooka Type) inner side specially treated for durable heat seal on high speed wrapping machines (800-900 pcs/min).

    Subtance: 50-53 gsm finished weight including wax.

    Machines:
    Theegarten, Nagema, Gs, Carle Montenari

    Usual Width: 45-50mm or 100-105mm (Including Comic Strip)

    Applications: Bubble Gum/ Chewy Toffee Etc.
